you simply cannot deny what you see with your own eyes

tonight at dunamis was pretty phenomenal. i really didn't prepare a whole lot because the last four weeks have been pretty intense, so i purposefully wanted to make tonight a bit more relaxed. i wasn't sure where all the night would lead, but i knew whose hands it was in.

part of me has really been wanting to have one of those nights where the spirit just moves and so we move with him and we watch amazing things happen, but i've not felt that leading in a while, and i'm not one who will try to force it to make it happen and get all worked up and then say it's God when it's really just me, so i've never pushed it.

tonight, there was no denying it. when worship started, i was a bit bummed out because there were only like 10 people there it seemed. but in the last song, or what was supposed to be the last song, i just felt the urge - now is the time - so i simply went forward and shared just a bit about how when jesus walked through villages, people would cry out to him and call his name. i told the students that God is a God who wants to act on our behalf, but we simply need to call out to him and take the initiative - i then had our staff come up to be available to pray with people as they needed.

patrick came up. he came in tonight with a bad limp and pain on his face - said he had sprained his ankle earlier today in drill practice. some staff and students prayed for his ankle. you see, this is where we want to stop. we've prayed for it, but then we go back to our seat or our routine as before and "hope" something happens. i told him to take a walk. don't just ask for healing - act on it. believe you have received. belief goes beyond hoping. belief carries into action. go for a walk. so he walked. the limp was gone. so i told him to go run. he ran laps around the church!

i don't care what they thought about things before the night started, but when most everyone there saw the miracle take place right in front of them, there's no denying it. you cannot deny the powerful presence of God and the miracle working power of the cross. unless you're a fool.

That is so great Jeff. I have missed being a part of a church where the holy spirit is moving and seeing amazing miracles take place. What a great testimony to those kids of God's power when we let HIM take control.

It was a much needed time with God for me.....When your hurting and struggling it's really awsome to know you have some place to go where you can worship, pray, know you are loved by God as well as people and get some answers.
*Thankyou Kerri, for being there. You've know idea how much it helped!*
Keep it up guys!
Love
Aubrey

That is great!  Way to go for listening to God and stepping out in faith!  God is such a miracle worker and He wants to show us this stuff, but for some reason, we, like you said, all grow tired and wont hang in there enough to hear God...Also, we have power b/c Jesus has power and He is in us and we can speak healing and see it manifest right before our eyes....Wow...this is just soooo encouraging to me right now, you just dont know....
